I ordered my sticker online or by mail and have not received it. What do I do?
(show answer)
If it has been more than 14 days since you ordered your sticker online or 30 days since you mailed your renewal, please call 312-742-9200 or 312-744-6774 to determine your sticker was not returned to us by the post office. If we determine it has been lost in the mail, you are able to receive one free replacement sticker.
To receive the sticker you must complete an affidavit (download here) and have it notarized. The replacements can only be done at our 3 City Clerk office locations (City Hall, Gale St., Archer Ave.). Our City Hall office is able to notarize the affidavit at no cost. Notary Publics can also be found at many banks and currency exchanges.

I just moved to Chicago. How do I get a sticker?
(show answer)
Our office allows a 30-day grace period before we assess a late fee. Bring in a copy of your valid lease or mortgage and a Driver’s License or state ID and buy your sticker. If it is after 30 days, bring in a Driver’s License or state ID and state plate registration. A late fee of $40 will be assessed for vehicle stickers purchased after the 30-day grace period.
To waive the late fee or to receive a prorated fee, only the date on the following documents can be used: lease, title/mortgage, vehicle registration date, auto dealer bill of sale, vehicle title, IDOR vehicle tax forms.
To determine the fee for your vehicle sticker, use the date on the suitable documentation to determine the date range for the appropriate fee, which is listed on the Vehicle Sticker Pricing chart under Vehicle Stickers and Information.
