View the Aldermanic city sticker sales schedule. To help meet the 2008 budgetary shortfall, the Chicago City Council approved increases for certain vehicle sticker prices. These new vehicle sticker prices take effect on January 1, 2008 and are:

• Larger Passenger (4,500 pounds or more)…$120.00
• Truck A (16,000 pounds or less)…$180.00
• Truck B (over 16,000)...$420.00 (not sold online)
• Truck C - is eliminated

Effective January 1, 2008, Truck A vehicle stickers cover all trucks and pickup trucks with a gross vehicle weight of 16,000 pounds or less and Truck B vehicle stickers cover all vehicles over 16,000 pounds. If you live in the city of Chicago and own a motor vehicle, Chicago city law requires
that you purchase an annual city vehicle sticker. Please note the following mandatory requirements:

• Transfer/Replacement City Stickers:
You're required to surrender your old sticker (regardless of the condition when peeled from the windshield) & original receipt in order to complete the transfer/replacement transaction.

• New Residents of Chicago:
You have thirty (30) days (from the date of your move) to purchase your city sticker without incurring the late fee penalty. This transaction must be made in person at a sales location and you're required to present documentation at the time of purchase to establish your move date such as a valid lease or property bill of sale.
