I accidentally ordered a duplicate sticker or a sticker I don't want now. Can I cancel the order?
No. Once the order has been submitted it cannot be canceled. The City of Chicago does offer a refund for duplicate city sticker purchases only! If you qualify for a refund, please contact the Office of the Chicago City Clerk at 312.744.9132 and ask for City Sticker Refunds.
Why do I have to wait 10 to 14 business days for delivery?
The reason we ask to allow this amount of time is because once we
process your order, your new sticker then goes to the United States
Postal Service for delivery and we must allow sufficient time for
mailing.
I ordered more than one sticker. Will my stickers be mailed together or separate?
All city vehicle stickers purchased online are, in fact, mailed
individually to the address provided by the customer.
I have waited the required 14 business days and I still haven't received my sticker. What do I do now?
Many stickers get returned to the City Clerk's office every year by the
US Postal Service marked "Attempted-Not-Known" or "Undeliverable". If it
has been 14 days or more, please contact the
Data Services division of the City Clerk's office by e-mail at cityclerk@cityofchicago.org
or by telephone at (312)742-9200 for assistance. Please have your
Transaction Identification Number & Order Number available when
contacting our office. This will expedite the process.
If I ordered my city vehicle sticker online, may I pick it up in person?
No. All city vehicle stickers ordered online will be mailed to the address provided by the customer.
I entered incorrect information and I already submitted my order for
processing. How can I make corrections to orders already processed? You can make corrections to your record
after July 1st, 2008 by contacting the Data Services Division of the
Chicago City Clerk's Office at 312.742.9200 or by emailing your corrections to cityclerk@cityofchicago.org
. Please have your new 2008-2009 city
vehicle sticker(s) number(s) ready when you call, or provide them in
your e-mail so we can expedite the correction process.
